"Supporting, inspiring and connecting Christ-centred leaders and congregations within the United Church of Canada."
Since 2011, this core purpose has helped define and shape Cruxifusion. Yet discussions arising from our 2015 AGM made it clear that it was time to put some more “meat” on the bones... to further define the identity and focus of Cruxifusion. So this spring your Cruxifusion board dedicated prayer and discussion time to seek God's leading.
The results of this time of reflection, prayer and discussion led the Board to the following identity statement:
"Cruxifusion is a network of United Church of Canada leaders proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour."
It also became clear that there are some key things we do together that are central to us:
We pray together.
We gather together.
And what does that looks like? Well, we want to encourage one another to grow in:
"The fruits of the Spirit love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."
(Galatians 5: 22-23)
We've got more work ahead as we develop, but we are pretty thrilled to share with our wider membership the unity and direction Jesus has started among us. If you are interested in the full report, you will find it here.
