REQUEST FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
The Board of Cruxifusion is looking for workshop submissions for our 2019 annual gathering.
Cruxifusion a network of United Church of Canada leaders proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, with a vision of supporting, inspiring and connecting Christ-centred leaders and congregations. Our annual gathering is an opportunity for Christ-centred leaders in the United Church of Canada to network with colleagues who share their love of Christ, to learn new skills, and to be challenged to grow in their ministry and relationship with Jesus. Our community is diverse. We differ in many ways. We have different viewpoints on many things. Our community is also united. The Holy Spirit is bringing us together around Jesus Christ. Our name says it: His cross fuses us, making us one.
Workshops are an opportunity for us to focus on the “learning new skills” aspect of our gathering. In the past, we’ve had workshops ranging in topics from preaching, to prayer, to Holy Yoga. Any workshops that would tie into our theme for this year’s gathering, “Cornerstone: Anchoring Life, Ministry, and Church in Christ” will be considered. Ideally, workshops would also support our vision of supporting, inspiring and connecting Christ-centred leaders. Workshops are one hour long, and will take place on Wednesday, May 1st. Please email your workshop ideas and outlines to firstname.lastname@example.org. If your workshop is selected, we will need a bio, an indication of any equipment needed (i.e. projector or sound), and any handouts you would like to offer to participants.
Deadline for submitting workshop proposals is December 31, 2018.
